An activist, Bassem Abu Rahmeh, 29, was killed/assassinated by Israel during a protest in Bil'in April 17, 2009 and no one was punished.  A tear gas canister hit him in the chest.  The Israeli Military Police and Judge Advocate General was found to have been negligent and lostheir investigation case file.

His sister, Jawaher Abu Rahma, 36, passed away December 31, 2010 after a protest; the cause is unclear, was she killed by tear gas or some other cause, and had she even been at the protest?

                        presents
             Iyad Burnat:
    Nonviolent Resistance
         in the West Bank

Iyad Burnat, world recognized Palestinian leader of nonviolent resistance,
who defends the farmers and West Bank community of Bilin, comes to us
on short notice.

He speaks to three Triangle events June 29-July 1.

Monday June 29 in Raleigh, Tuesday June 30 CH BAJ program,
and Wednesday July 1 in Cary (details below).

His brother Emad Burnat and Israeli Guy Davidi filmed the documentary
5 Broken Camerasdemonstrating the cost of such struggles.

The congressional primary results in New York are
signaling increasing popular support for ending occupation
and genocide in Gaza and the West Bank and promote
tending human needs at home instead of spreading violence abroad.

Can the increasing disgust in this country and around the world
overcome the cruelty and greed of war addiction?

RALEIGH RESIDENTS: venues in Raleigh and Cary will
feature Burnat on Monday and Wednesday, at these locations:
