The Black Alliance for Peace Stands Unequivocally Behind Kenya’s Youth Upholding Resistance Against U.S. Puppet State Imperialism and Neo-Liberalism

In June 2024, Kenya was racked by youth mobilizations, referred to as the Gen Z Movement protests, as that nation’s young people rose up against the neo-liberal austerity measures enacted by the U.S. lackey president William Ruto. In typical fashion, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) had demanded increased taxation and funding cuts to a country whose leadership has privileged the dictates of imperialism over its own people. Kenya’s police killed 60 people during those 2024 actions but the popular struggle resulted in the plans for taxation being cancelled.

On the first anniversary of these actions the young people rose up again in opposition to the Ruto government which sent its troops to Haiti at the behest of the U.S. government, and which was designated a major non-NATO ally in gratitude for its posture as a vassal state. Kenya’s police state is again killing those who oppose, including journalist Albert Ojwang, who died in police custody, and more recently Boniface Kariuki, ostensibly for protesting Ojwang’s assassination.

The Africa Team of the Black Alliance for Peace (BAP) and the organizing arm of the U.S. Out of Africa Network (USOAN) once again stands in solidarity with the masses of Kenyans fighting against the neo-liberal austerity schemes and obedience to U.S. imperialism. Despite the fascist repression, the youth of Kenya are fearless in their resolve and persist in declaring and exposing the illegitimacy of the compradors of neo-colonialism.

The Gen-Z Movement represents the offspring or torch bearers of the unfinished revolution of the Kenya Land and Freedom Army (KLFA), known also as the Mau Mau, whose valiant fight paved the path toward defeat of their British colonizers in 1960. Gen-Z are the political cubs of their predecessors Comrades Dedan Kimathi, Mzalendo Bildad Kaggia, Wasonga Sijeyo, Pio Gama Pinto, and Mzalendo Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, true revolutionary heroes who stood firm in the fight for the genuine independence of Kenya.

BAP and the USOAN are clear that for the movement to decolonize Kenya to be complete the running dogs of imperialism must be driven from office and the neo-colonial economic structures must be dismantled allowing a truly sovereign Kenya to be established, untethered to the U.S.-EU-NATO Axis of Domination.

BAP remains unequivocal in the demand for U.S. imperialism to cease propping up the Ruto regime, for the unconditional and immediate release of our Kenyan family detailed and jailed during these protests, and for reparations to be dispensed to the family and loved ones of those killed by the state and their goons.

Toufan on the recent US-Iran negotiations in Muscat – Hands off Iran!

Slightly edited on DS.

On the sidelines of the Iran-U.S. Talks in Oman

The Conditions Under Which the Regime of Iran Agrees to Negotiate with the U.S.

The first round of "indirect” negotiations between Iran and the United States was held on Saturday, April 12 in Muscat, the capital of Oman.

In these talks, the Iranian delegation was led by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, while the American delegation was headed by Steve Witkoff. Both sides described the discussions as “positive and constructive,” and the negotiations are scheduled to continue in Rome, Italy, next Saturday, April 19, 2025.

The talks were conducted in written form and were “indirect.” Fewer than ten documents were exchanged between the two sides. The first document was delivered by Araghchi. The content of the document has not yet been made public. In his messages, Araghchi stated that Iran had not come to Muscat for show, rather, Tehran's main goal is to assess the sincerity and seriousness of the American side and to determine the feasibility of reaching an agreement.

It was emphasized that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will be the only foreign body allowed to oversee Iran’s nuclear program. In exchange for nuclear restrictions and monitoring, Tehran is demanding the lifting of sanctions in several sectors. Furthermore, once these sanctions are lifted, the United States must not reimpose them under other pretexts.

Araghchi also stipulated that a general framework agreement is essential for the continuation of the negotiations. If the U.S. rejects Iran’s proposed framework in the first session, it must present an alternative for Iran to review.

On Saturday, Iran told the U.S. that the responsibility for ensuring the "snapback mechanism" is not activated rests entirely with Washington. Witkoff brought two individuals with him to Muscat, one of whom is a nuclear affairs expert.

The European Troika (UK, France, and Germany) is deeply concerned about being sidelined in this process.

The White House, in a statement, described the first round of talks in Oman as “very positive and constructive.”

The statement read: “Special envoy Witkoff emphasized to Dr. Araghchi that he has been tasked by President Trump to resolve the disputes between the two countries through dialogue and diplomacy, if possible.”

The statement continued: “These issues are very complex, and today’s direct engagement by the U.S. special envoy was a step forward toward achieving a mutually beneficial outcome.” The White House also announced that both sides will meet again next Saturday (April 19).

Now, considering the rapid developments in recent months, the intensifying psychological warfare, and rising tensions between Iran and the United States, it is worth examining several key points regarding the reasons behind these negotiations and their objectives.

Iran Is Negotiating with the U.S. from a Position of Weakness.

The capitalist regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran has agreed to these negotiations while in a position of weakness. This is a repetition of modern Iranian history. When the former leader of the Islamic Republic, Ruhollah Khomeini, drank the "chalice of poison" to end a futile war, leaving half of it behind in the cup for other leaders of the Islamic Republic to inherit, so they too could eventually drink it in full under the guise of "revolutionary flexibility" and "revolutionary expediency" in negotiations with the United States.

The Supreme Leader's labeling of negotiations with Donald Trump's administration as dishonorable, and then suddenly reversing course a few days later by accepting "indirect" talks with the U.S. in Oman, came as a cold-water shock to his supporters.

The reality is that, after decades of political repression and implementing a chaotic neoliberal economic system, the Islamic Republic has lost much of its domestic and regional capabilities. Now, solely for the sake of its own survival, it is conceding on Iran's national interests in the face of U.S. imperialist bullying, and accepting unprincipled compromises.

The regime entered the negotiations at a time when its political and military influence in Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq, and elsewhere has significantly diminished, and in Syria, it has lost its influence entirely.

The illegal economic, political, cultural and especially financial siege of Iran has severely weakened the country’s economic and financial foundations. This has forced the regime to shift the burden of this devastating crisis onto the shoulders of the Iranian people, particularly the working class and the lower segments of society.

The regime’s cronies, rent-seekers, corrupt families, and collaborators, the pirates looting Iran’s national resources on land, remain untouched by the pressure of these sanctions. They continue to funnel billions in foreign currency to overseas bank accounts on behalf of the Islamic Republic's leaders. Meanwhile, these inhumane sanctions, which bring inflation, unemployment, and poverty, have fueled a wave of social discontent within Iran, weakening the regime’s popular base. As a result, the government now leans heavily on the small ruling elite; those who benefit from the privileges of the Islamic Republic. The regime grows increasingly fearful of the people’s struggle and resistance.

In response, it resorts to repression, censorship, and the imprisonment of critics to maintain its grip on power. The Islamic Republic is primarily focused on saving its own rule, which means that preserving Iran’s independence and national interests is no longer a fundamental priority.

These realities are not hidden, especially not from imperialist powers, chief among them the United States. In fact, the U.S., which has played an active role in creating this situation, has access to extensive intelligence on the regime through its electronic surveillance agencies. It is well-aware of which regime officials have stolen money and how much they have stashed in foreign banks.

American imperialism spares no effort in provoking and sabotaging Iran’s border regions through the establishment of military bases nearby, provocations in the Persian Gulf, and the use of unmanned aerial vehicles for surveillance over Iranian territory.

Among these developments, the joint U.S.-British naval base in Diego Garcia has recently become a new focal point for escalating tensions. B2 bombers have been stationed there; the same type of aircraft that have been used in recent months to carry out attacks on Yemen. In response, Iran has issued serious warnings, declaring that any act of aggression will be met with a decisive reaction. This is not the first time Washington has deployed warships to the region.

Meanwhile, the “1945” digital news platform reported on this U.S. move, stating: "B2 stealth bombers are now gathering at Diego Garcia." The report adds that the world is now aware that the United States has transferred around one-quarter of its B2 Spirit stealth bomber fleet to Diego Garcia, the island that hosts the U.S. naval base in the Indo-Pacific region.

Under such conditions, marked by growing public discontent, the Islamic Republic of Iran has consented to negotiations with the United States. Yet, from the outset, the outcome of these talks bears the seeds of a bitter and ultimately fruitless harvest for Iran and its people.

The Islamic Republic, as a capitalist regime, has long adhered to the policies of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund — adopting their views on suppressing Iran’s working class, reducing wages, preventing strikes, banning the formation of independent labour unions, restricting the political activity of grassroots political organizations, dismantling customs protections, pushing forward privatization, and sacrificing the wealth of the Iranian people to the interests of these Western imperialist institutions.

The leadership of this policy began with President Rafsanjani and has been continued by all administrations of subsequent presidents; from Mohammad Khatami to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Hassan Rouhani, Ebrahim Raisi, and now Masoud Pezeshkian.

In the past, the Islamic Republic shamefully retreated on Iran’s nuclear issue, surrendering its legitimate rights. By betraying national interests, it signed the infamous JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action), thereby squandering countless opportunities and dismantling or suspending vital nuclear activities, all in the misguided hope that the U.S. imperialists would pursue peaceful relations with the regime. Yet the more the Iranian regime complies with Washington’s demands, the more emboldened the U.S. becomes in its efforts to extract further concessions.

American imperialists seek the very life of Iran. They demand that Iran recognize Israel, become a major American base in the region against China and Russia, and allow the U.S. free rein in Iran, to plunder resources without limit and to install or remove governments at will.

Obviously, such imperialist bullying poses a serious threat to the survival of the Iranian regime. The Islamic Republic’s pivot toward China and Russia, a shift it avoided until the end of Donald Trump’s first term due to pressure from American-aligned factions within Iran, is not simply a matter of internal preference. It is also the result of the maximum pressure campaign and inhumane sanctions imposed by the U.S. from outside, which drove Iran further eastward.

Even the signing of the 25-year cooperation agreement with China was delayed until after Joe Biden came to power, as the Rouhani faction still held out hope for reconciliation with the U.S. However, once Biden took office and it became clear that the aggression against China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, and possibly even India, was part of his strategic agenda in the region, Iran's leadership lost all illusions about compromise or making concessions to the United States.

Naturally, the imperialist China also observed these developments and recognized that Iran was negotiating from a weakened position, a reality that would take it into account. The Iranian government approached China with caution, always keeping one eye on the United States. But Biden dashed all the regime’s hopes, breaking the resistance of the pro-American faction within Iran, even before Iran’s own elections. Now, with the return of Donald Trump to power, the situation has changed dramatically. The regional crisis has deepened, and Iran’s allied forces have also become weaker.

What is the United States' objective in engaging in negotiations, and what are its demands from Iran.

Our party has repeatedly stated and emphasized that the issue of Iran’s nuclear program is just an excuse and does not have serious significance. Iran has been under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for years, and even U.S. intelligence agencies have stated that Iran does not have nuclear weapons and is not pursuing the production of such weapons. Yet, despite this, the U.S. continues its lies, hostility, and sabotage, maintaining its political, economic, and psychological pressures against the regime and the country.

The truth is that U.S. imperialists have long set their policy regarding Iran. Ultimately, they want Iran to become a semi-colonial state, like it was under the Shah. They want a country that acts as the regional gendarme, collaborating with imperialists to plunder the region’s energy resources and ensure their extraction and transfer to Western markets. They want Iran to oppose China, Russia, and, at the appropriate time, India, Japan, and possibly Europe, so that the U.S. can control the geopolitical and energy chokepoint of the world, tightening or loosening the grip at will. They want Iran to be aligned with them, not with China, in their strategic policy in the Pacific Ocean in the coming decades.

Their issue, contrary to the claims of misled or self-serving Iranians, is not the enrichment of uranium or the nuclear issue. For this reason, Donald Trump, like his predecessor, lies: the Iranian nuclear weapon is just a pretext, a propaganda tool to rally public opinion and disarm Iran. The goal is to exhaust the adversary, offer negotiations and a “great deal,” prevent the production of nuclear weapons under any condition, stop Iran from supporting resistance movements like Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis in Yemen, and ultimately address issues like missiles and drones. These are the demands of the U.S. to disarm Iran in favor of the interests and strategic objectives of American imperialism and Israeli Zionism in the region.

What is Donald Trump’s Tactic Toward Iran?

In his second term as president, Donald Trump has entered the arena with a new tactic. Whereas he used to speak about Iran in an aggressive and threatening tone, this time he has adopted a different and seemingly peace-seeking rhetoric. In a message he recently released, he emphasized that he "wishes success for Iran," but at the same time, he reiterated his red line regarding Iran’s acquisition of nuclear weapons.

While in recent months there has been speculation about a potential escalation in military tensions and even the possibility of a joint U.S.-Israeli military action against Iran, Trump dismissed these claims as "exaggerated" and instead spoke of the idea of a "credible nuclear peace deal." He even suggested that, after signing such an agreement, a "major Middle Eastern celebration" should be held.

This shift in Trump’s tone is no coincidence. During his first term of presidency, he pursued a "maximum pressure" policy against Iran and withdrew from the nuclear deal (JCPOA). With this new message, he is aiming to create the perception among the Iranian public that the leaders of the Islamic Republic themselves are the obstacle to resolving the nuclear issue. In such a context, if sanctions are intensified or even a military action occurs, Trump will attempt placing the blame for the crisis on Iran rather than on U.S. policies.

The Islamic Republic’s Capitalist Regime at an Impasse

The continuation of the second round of "indirect negotiations" in Italy, the resulting optimism in Iranian public opinion, and the temporary dip in the value of the dollar are merely short-term remedies to escape a deep political and economic crisis in Iran. The current situation in Iran is likely to persist in this state for some time, with increasing disorder. Economic sanctions will not be lifted, and even if they were, it would not translate into any real, practical transformation in Iran’s economic and financial life. The economic crisis and the hardships faced by the Iranian people stem primarily from domestic policies, with economic sanctions merely exacerbating the situation and not accounting for all of Iran’s current problems.

The industrial infrastructure, spare parts, or aircraft fleets that Iran needs are not sitting covered in dust in warehouses in imperialist countries, ready to be shipped. These items first need to be produced and then sent to Iran based on future economic agreements, a process that could take years. The unfreezing of Iran’s blocked assets in the United States does not mean these assets will be freely returned to Iran. The U.S. will not hand over cash to Iran; instead, in return for Iran stepping back from uranium enrichment, it will likely offer lines of credit that must be used to purchase American goods for export to Iran.

The U.S. will undoubtedly impose binding and restrictive agreements on Iran and pressure it to align with American policies in the region.

The Islamic Republic Regime: Isolated and at an Impasse

Since the 1979 revolution, the Islamic Republic has followed a path that has increasingly alienated it from the Iranian people. It has become the object of growing public resentment and ridicule. The regime has tried to rule through repression and coercion, attempting to control the population with brute force. As a result, it actively suppresses public debate over the true goals behind the "indirect negotiations" in Oman and Italy, especially when such discussions threaten to expose hidden agendas. These talks are concealed from the public, with no accountability to anyone.

This policy of distancing itself from the people is, in fact, welcomed by imperialist powers, as it makes it easier to pressure and manipulate the regime for their own interests. Today, the Islamic Republic finds itself at a dead end and can clearly see that it has lost one of its key regional allies, Syria. While Hezbollah in Lebanon still exists and is in the process of reorganizing and rebuilding, the region itself has changed.

It is now up to Iran to decide its course: either to reconcile with the United States and submit fully to its terms, or to rely on its people and resist the foreign imperialist threat and aggression. There is no longer a middle path. Every move the regime makes now reflects only its crisis, paralysis, and lack of clear direction.

What is the solution?

The only viable path forward for the Islamic Republic is to respect the rights of the people, meet their demands, allow political and labour organizations to operate freely, lift censorship from the mass media, and rebuild trust between the state and the public. It must arrest and prosecute corrupt officials and government-linked criminals and bring those responsible for execution of hundreds of thousands to justice in people’s courts. By doing so, it may build a mountain of popular support.

Only with that foundation of public backing can a country stand up to imperialist coercion and conspiracies. With the strength of such support, it could confront the threats and bullying of figures like Donald Trump, defend the national interests of the people. Through such a support, Iran can assert its rightful claim to peaceful nuclear energy use, or even, if necessary for national defense and deterrence, acquire nuclear weapons.

Through a policy of good-neighborly relations, Iran could also resist the plots of Zionism and regional reactionary forces. The destruction of Zionism depends on the governments mobilizing and respecting the rights of regional people.

But today, the Islamic Republic is trapped in a situation it can no longer escape. Ultimately, it appears the regime will be forced to throw itself into the arms of imperialism, hoping to shield itself from the “harm of events”.

In the Current Crisis, What Is the Duty of Communists?

In today’s critical situation, it is the duty of communists, specifically our Party, and all revolutionary forces to raise awareness about the betrayals of the Islamic Republic regime and to stand firmly against U.S. imperialism, its bullying, sanctions, and military threats. We must work toward the building and strengthening of independent organizations of the masses, especially the working class. We must not allow the regime to strike deals over the national interests of the Iranian people or to preserve its own rule through compromises with imperialism.

In the face of the potential danger of military aggression against Iran, communists must take to the field with clear and principled slogans. We must commit ourselves to mobilizing the public both within Iran and internationally. The slogan “Hands off Iran!” is the most accurate and effective rallying cry to unite the people and resist imperialist interference. This slogan embodies patriotism, anti-imperialism, and the power to mobilize millions in Iran as well as global public opinion.

Defending workers’ rights, specifically the fight to raise wages, establish independent labour unions, abolish exploitative contract labour systems, and stop privatizations and layoffs, are among the concrete tasks that must be carried out alongside the fight against foreign enemies. There is no alternative path out of this deadlock.

We must emphasize that, as history has repeatedly shown, in today’s era only the party of the working class, as the true representative of the proletariat, bears the historic mission of leading the struggle for liberation, defending Iran’s national independence and territorial integrity, and establishing socialism. Let us dedicate ourselves to this revolutionary and emancipatory goal, let us raise high the banner of this lofty goal!

Central Organ of the Marxist-Leninist Communist Party of Ecuador

Editorial: Pro-imperialist government

-- The subservience and subservience of Noboa and his government to US imperialism and foreign capital has been his calling card. Even before his inauguration, in November 2023, he went to surrender to investment banks to offer the country's wealth in exchange for foreign investment. --

Daniel Noboa's meeting with Donald Trump had much more than electoral purposes. Noboa went with the idea of "killing two birds with one stone": he sought a meeting with the head of U.S. imperialism to project his image in view of the presidential elections, for which he even paid the company Mercury Public Affairs LLC the sum of US $165,000 in order to get him such a meeting. But at the same time he went with the purpose of agreeing on the steps that will lead to the establishment of a U.S. military base in our country.
According to information published on March 29 on the CNN website, "Ecuador is laying the groundwork for the arrival of U.S. forces." That has been pointed out by a senior official linked to the planning and construction of a naval base in Manta, which will be used to "support U.S. military personnel." The construction plans show that the Ecuadorian Ministry of Defense signed an agreement with the Port Authority of Manta for the construction of a dock and expansion of the existing port; the project has the support of the United States, according to documents signed by a representative of the U.S. government.
The intention of establishing one foreign military base or bases in the country has become a priority issue for this government, as it was for the government of Guillermo Lasso. It established agreements on issues of "maritime military cooperation" with the US, which were later endorsed by the Constitutional Court, thus preventing them from being discussed in the National Assembly for approval or not. In October of the previous year, Noboa sent to the National Assembly a constitutional reform that eliminates the prohibition of allowing foreign military bases on the national territory, and the parliamentary commission that dealt with the issue gave the green light for it to be discussed in the plenary session of the legislature. Noboa will do everything in his power to get this unpatriotic reform approved.
The surrender and submission of Noboa and his government to U.S. imperialism and foreign capital has been his letter of introduction. Since before his inauguration, in November 2023,, he went to the investment banks to offer the country's wealth in exchange for foreign investment; he also went to kneel before the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund to negotiate loans that, now, their payment will lead to budget cuts in the social sector.
Noboa embodies a government that is economically, politically and militarily subject to the interests of US imperialism: it is an openly pro-imperialist government.

Toufan (Party of Labor of Iran): Threat of military attack on Iran, maximum pressure, and negotiation tactics to disarm Iran

I received this excerpted (?) statement from Toufan:

"Threat of Military Attack on Iran, Maximum Pressure, and Negotiation Tactics to Disarm Iran"
A person in a suit writing on a paper

AI-generated content may be incorrect.
Donald Trump, the President of the United States, in a noisy joint press conference with the war criminal and internationally wanted Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, spoke at the White House about the "possible Israeli attack on Iran":
"We'll have to see what happens."
Such a malicious and threatening response, while simultaneously expressing a desire to negotiate with Iran to end the nuclear issue and the danger of producing nuclear weapons, reflects the settlement of accounts to disarm Iran. In response to a question from a journalist who said, "Iran is weakened," Trump rejected this view and said: "Iran is very strong... but that doesn't mean they can't get weak again."
He stated that under the administration of Joe Biden, Iran became "stronger" and added: "When I was in office (first term), they didn’t have money to give to Hamas and Hezbollah. October 7th couldn’t have happened. Under Biden, they quickly became strong and sold a lot of oil to China because they couldn't sell oil during my time."
Trump emphasized that he simply wants Iran to not acquire nuclear weapons and said he would not allow Iran to obtain nuclear arms.
With the maximum pressure policy, Trump claimed he was ready to talk with the President of Iran. He said: "I hope we won't need to use this option (maximum pressure), we’ll have to see if we can reach an agreement with Iran."
He added that he had been "doubtful" about signing this memorandum and claimed: "This is very hard for Iran." "I hope we won't have to use it much."
------
"What Does USA Want from Iran?"
The truth is that the US imperialism has long since determined its policy towards Iran. Ultimately, they want Iran to become a semi-colonial country, like it was during the Shah's era. They want a country that acts as the regional gendarme, an accomplice of the imperialists in plundering the region’s energy resources and ensuring their extraction and transfer to Western markets. They want an Iran that is opposed to China and Russia, and at the appropriate time, opposed to India, Japan, and perhaps Europe, so that the United States can control the geopolitical and energy chokepoints of the world, tightening and loosening the "screws," with Iran strategically aligned with the U.S. in the Pacific Ocean over the next decade, and opposed to China.
Their problem, contrary to the claims of deceived or self-sold Iranian people, is not Iran’s uranium enrichment and nuclear issue. Any political observer remembers that during Khatami’s presidency, the enrichment was delayed for two years at the request of the U.S. Didn’t Iran, at the U.S. request, agree to sign the Additional Protocol, which is a colonial treaty? Didn’t Iran agree to return the nuclear waste from the Bushehr power plant to Russia at the U.S. request? Didn’t Iran agree to refrain from producing enriched uranium at 20% for research and medical purposes at Tehran University, and instead pay for its purchase from Russia, China, the U.S., Argentina, etc.? Didn’t Hashemi Rafsanjani, with his economic adjustment policies, open the door to the World Bank and the IMF in Iran and implement the demands of the World Trade Organization for privatizing Iran’s public assets? Didn’t he privatize Iran’s oil through the cover of Paasdaaran (G[u]ardian of Revolution) mafia-like private companies?
So why did USA not use these "suitable opportunities" to normalize relations with Iran? Why did the USA tear up the JCPOA, and resort to maximum economic pressure? Why did the USA assassinate General Soleimani?
Therefore, like his predecessor, Donald Trump is lying. Iran’s nuclear weapons are just an excuse, a propaganda tool to mobilize public opinion and disarm Iran. The goal is to exhaust the opponent with promises of negotiation and "a good deal" for Iran, stop Iran from supporting the resistance movements like Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis in Yemen, and ultimately address the missile and drone and nuclear issues.
This is the full set of demands of the U.S. for disarming Iran, which aligns with the strategic interests and objectives of the U.S. imperialism and Israeli Zionism in the region.
--------
"The Islamic Republic Has Reached a Deadlock"
The Islamic Republic regime has reached a deadlock today and has lost its regional ally, Syria. While Hezbollah in Lebanon still exists and continues to resist in defiance of the Zionist aggressors, the region has changed, and it is likely that the conflict will spill over into Iraqi territory. It is Iran that must maintain stability on its eastern and western borders, and this can only be achieved by relying on the people, recognizing their rights, livelihood, democratic freedoms, punishing criminals and corrupt individuals, halting the neoliberal policies, stopping privatization, and respecting the rights of the people.
However, this is something the regime, due to its nature, lack of will, internal divisions, and political fragmentation, is incapable of resolving. A regime that has turned its back on its people has no other path than to serve the interests of the imperialists.

Toufan (Party of Labor of Iran) on International Women's Day and the unity of the multi-ethnic working class

I received thesstatementthis week; they are posted on Facebook The four images might not appear below Slightly edited:

The Necessity of Solidarity Among Iranian Women Fighters with Women in the Region, Especially Palestinian Women
Happy March 8th, International Women's Solidarity Day,!

Today, the fate of Iranian women is intertwined with the fate of women in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Yemen, Syria, Bahrain, and especially Palestine, as well as other women in the region. This is why the demands for the rights of Iranian women and the fight against the capitalist regime of the Islamic Republic will be empty and regressive without a consciously tie it to the struggle against imperialist and Zionist aggressions. One cannot be an advocate for the rights of Iranian women while supporting the military invasion of Gaza and the genocide in this Palestinian enclave, or passing by indifferently. This reactionary and imperialist policy, which is theorized and promoted under the guise of fighting "political Islam," "fundamentalism," and opposition to Hamas, is a Zionist trick with its roots in Tel Aviv. How can one claim to defend women's rights and equality while remaining silent in the face of genocide and mass murder of women in Gaza?

As long as imperialism, Zionism, and class reaction rule the world, any notion of liberation from exploitation and economic and social inequality is nothing but an illusion.

Happy March 8th, International Women's Solidarity Day, to all combatant women and men around the world!

The Necessity of Struggling for the Unity of the Iranian Working-Class
May be an image of one or more people, crowd and text
Class-based and capitalist governments fear worker-strikes. We saw an example of this during the 1979 Revolution, when the potential collective power of workers created significant changes. They were able to send the regime of Mohammad Reza Shah to the dustbin of history with their nationwide strike, hoping that their living conditions, job security, rights, and fair demands would be met, that they would have the right to strike, and that they would establish their own trade un-ions. The governments that came to power after the revolution, which came under the guise of supporting the underprivileged, were aware of this immense power of the working class and saw its ability to organize as a factor that could destabilize the economic foundations and political structures of the country. With their class instincts, they feared the unity of Iran's labourers and sought, through various means, to prevent workers from forming their own trade unions.

At the onset of the revolution, labour law considered many of the workers' rights, as this achievement of the revolution was imposed on the post-revolutionary government by the working class through its struggles and its decisive role in the revolution. However, after the eight-year war with Iraq, Rafsanjani's mafia government, under the pretext of rebuilding Iran and compensating for the damage of the war, followed the economic orders of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund and adopted a neoliberal policy that aimed at looting Iran. It sacrificed Iran's economy through privatization, the suppression of workers' struggles, and the violation of their legal rights, benefiting the large bourgeoisie of Iran. This destructive policy continues to be implemented in Iran.

The first stumbling block in the path of the Iranian workers' struggles is the absence of an independent labour union whose primary responsibility is to improve the living conditions of workers, not to wage anti-exploitation war or to overthrow the capitalist system.

A labour union in Iran cannot be based on religious or ethnic affiliations. Ethno-national chauvinists in Iran want labour unions to be established on the basis of ethnicity, which in practice aims to destroy the unity of action among workers and create division among them. Naturally, these demands, if not outright suspicious, are deeply reactionary and anti-workers, and they must be fought against in the same way as the "leftist" demands for the creation of worker-soviets instead of independent labour unions. Iranian workers must struggle to establish a unified and independent labour union that enjoys public support. This class-based, democratic demand, which serves to democratize Iran's political space, must be supported. Therefore, supporting the “70% wage increase” movement and the efforts that have been underway in recent years is a positive matter, and we must focus on strengthening it.

Jik an Bout editorial part 3: The imperialists and the multinationals are waging a global and brutal offensive against the peoples. Let us intensify the Resistance! + more on the war in Palestine

A few more articles on Palestine:

Egypt is going to join the ICJ case on the side of South Africa, Colombia, and Turkey, but the reason could be that Egypt doesn't want to accept the people of Gaza as refugees and the Egyptian coup government considers Islamist Hamas a threat.  They waited so long before joining.  And I thought someone on Twitter/X was completely guessing or imagining when they claimed that the new Gaza pier would be used to transport refugees to the US, and now there is talk in the mainstream media of plans to bring Gaza refugees here and Trump vilifies the Palestinians and supports Israel's invasion of Rafah.  On Egypt:  www.commondreams.org/news/egypt-icj-israel

The imperialists and the multinationals are waging a global and brutal offensive against the peoples

Let us intensify the Resistance!

In our two previous editorials, we developed the thesis that "World War III has already begun." We have also put forward the idea that, beyond the confrontations between rival powers, the most fundamental world war is the one between the multinationals that hold the real power in the imperialist countries on the one hand, and the dominated workers and peoples of the whole world on the other. These two camps have fundamentally contradictory, definitively irreconcilable interests and, since the decisive confrontation has begun between them, it is important that our camp, that of the workers and the peoples, make a clear assessment of its assets and strengths, that it think of and implement a strategy and tactics that will ensure its victory.
Given the brutality of the attacks and the apparent omnipotence of the dominant system, many are deeply convinced that it is unstoppable. The vast majority of people, subjected to disinformation and manipulation by Western media empires, unaware of the extent of the Resistance that abounds all over the planet, are not aware that the enemy is considerably shaken. In truth, the capitalist and imperialist system has had its day and the world is ready to make a new leap towards progress.
It is a law of the development of human society, clearly demonstrated by the theoreticians of Marxism-Leninism: when the necessary objective and subjective conditions are met, the system that has had its day inexorably gives way to another that corresponds to the new configuration of the world. The development of the productive forces, the new social relations and the new ideas that developments create, call for new structures in society.
Today, the objective and subjective conditions are coming together for the world to change its basis
(a) With regard to objective conditions:
In previous articles, we have shown that the sharpening of contradictions with rival powers and the strengthening of the struggle for sovereignty waged by dominated countries make the ability of Western imperialists to plunder the world's raw materials and subject world trade to the dictatorship of their currencies increasingly problematic. Add to this the fact that the anarchy inherent in the liberal system has been compounded by the fact that Capital has become more and more disconnected from the real economy and [is] wading into the swamps of speculation. Even more decisively, the Computer Revolution and the explosion of New Information and Communication Technologies (NICTs) have reshaped the social relations between the dominant and the dominated and have shaken up the architecture that allowed the former to impose undivided power1.
(b) With regard to subjective conditions:
Inevitably, new objective conditions create or reinforce new ideas. It is undeniable that today an alternative planetary way of thinking is gradually being imposed in a way that confronts the dominant Western bourgeois ideology. This has been confirmed:
– by the massive environmental mobilizations which, often at the initiative of young people, have swept the world to denounce the threats posed to the planet by ultra-liberal and productivist policies;
– the internationalization of the Black Lives Matter movement against racism and police brutality;
– by the extension of the "Me Too" movement. The latter, because it came from Western countries, received worldwide media coverage, but it was part of a powerful mobilization dynamic for the defense of women's rights that was already developing on all continents.
– by the extraordinary mobilization of students and high school students who, all over the world, denounce the genocide perpetrated against the Palestinian people by the Zionist occupation army of Israel with the active support of the Western imperialist countries. An admirable commitment that gives faith in humanity!
These four examples reflect the qualitative change that takes place at the subjective level. Bourgeois patriarchy, nationalist chauvinism, racism, supremacism, imperialist interventionism, are being undermined by a new ideology that advocates respect for the environment, the interests of future generations, the sovereignty of peoples and social justice.
All this allows us to say that the objective and subjective conditions are in place for the coming of a new world. It is, of course, impossible to predict the duration of the period that will end the domination of the capitalist and imperialist system. But, punctuated by battles lost or won, advances or setbacks, the historical trend is inescapable. What remains certain is that the action of the peoples, whether spontaneous or organized, can delay or accelerate the process.
You don't fight a war with a flower in your gun!
We are at war with governments, agents of the multinationals, who are at the helm of powerful states, with sprawling institutions, armies and apparatuses of repression that have no qualms, expert intelligence services, extremely powerful propaganda and manipulation tools. We are at war with a system! The clear awareness of this reality must never leave us, the activists of alternative movements, revolutionary organizations, when we carry out analyses or when we undertake actions.
Earlier, we discussed the "single objective" of each side at war and the main fronts on which the battles were fought (economic, ideological, military and political). For the Peoples, the objective is to bring down the ruling system while building the new world; As the two dynamics eminently go together, this must be reflected in the development of a global strategy that is opposed to that of the multinationals.
On the economic level: The room for manoeuvre available to the people is much greater than is generally thought. For your information, bourgeois economists admit that more than 60% of the world's working population, or 2 billion people, earn their living in the informal economy. The IMF, another example, shows that the weight of the informal sector in the GDP of African countries ranges from 20% to 65%. These figures already suggest the extent of the popular economy in the global fabric, but its importance goes far beyond that. It is only this economy that allows nearly 6 billion human beings to survive the cruelty of the ultra-liberal policies imposed by the multinationals. Is it not clear that the more intense the looting, the more the so-called informal economy develops?
In our view, the building of an alternative economic system requires that we learn from the genius that the peoples show in order to survive.
Therefore, fighting on the economic front calls on us to rely on what already exists to boost alternative initiatives, to encourage the emergence of dissident networks and short circuits (at the level of the extended family, neighborhoods or economic sectors) and to strengthen the connection between the sections of our people who have emigrated or are living on the national territory. Without the mastery of a broad and structured economic base, we would remain at the mercy of dirty tricks and blackmail from the rulers; on the other hand, calls for possible boycotts of foreign companies or products would remain unproductive.
On the Ideological level: We mentioned above the emergence of new ideas coming to confront the dominant Western bourgeois ideology. Their convergence is bound to create a coherent ideology that will eventually impose its supremacy on society. But for the time being, the confrontation on the ideological front remains hot. Society is still largely a prisoner of the ideology of individualism, elitism and competition. On this basis, the enemy has managed to blur the boundaries of class4 very deeply. It even uses new ideas (which challenge the pyramidal structure of society) as a weapon to disorganize and divert popular movements. These movements, now labelled "citizens’ movements", are invited to give priority to individual decisions and to line up behind leaders designated by the system's media. The powerful enterprise of manipulation carried out after the fall of the "Socialist Camp" succeeded in spreading the thesis within society that "the time of ideologies is over" and that "citizens" had to guard against any "co-optation" by political organizations. At the same time, Western media empires are trying to offer superficial interests and a bestialized culture, to destroy all forms of critical thinking and to condition minds.
If, therefore, we do not wage a systematic and uncompromising struggle on the ideological front, all our battles will consist of "chayé dlo an pannyé5". Ideological and political training, the popularization of knowledge in all fields, the encouragement of critical reflection are all indispensable weapons for victoriously waging the war against the capitalist and imperialist system.
On the military Level: It is obvious that the Western imperialists will never accept the challenge to their hegemony. For centuries they have maintained it by committing the most horrible crimes, by multiplying subversion and coups d'état; However, they are aware that their rule is now under serious threat. That is why they have set in motion a world war. Their ability to cause harm should not be underestimated. As a famous Martinican artist said: "These people who are guilty of cynically committing so many crimes are necessarily psychopaths."
The enemy's methods are well known: espionage, infiltration of provocateurs, information warfare and psychological warfare, assassination, use of auxiliaries, corruption, etc. All this prepares or accompanies the armed intervention. It is therefore necessary to be prepared, let us say discreetly, to thwart all attacks of this nature.
The main strength of our peoples is numbers! It is by systematically working for the accumulation of forces and the involvement of the broadest masses in the battles that we will create the conditions for victory.
On the political level: The villainy of ultra-liberal policies is such that in all sectors of society mobilizations are organized to defend the rights of workers and more generally of the population. They are necessary and must be supported. However, our duty is to carry out a political offensive so that, on the one hand, everyone realizes the extent of the real war waged by the ruling classes and, on the other hand, we unmask all the illusions sown by the opportunists. In fact, there are many who claim to be fighting against imperialist domination, colonialism, sabotage of public services, etc., but who at the same time try to divert our people from the path of emancipation and the struggle against the system, because their class interests lead them to collaborate with it. Contrary to what they claim, neither electoral victories, nor demands for changes to the French Constitution, nor any declaration of loyalty to "the Republic" in exchange for additional "competences", are likely to bend the imperialists' will to destroy the endogenous economy or to carry out genocide by substitution.
As we said above, what is at stake is the eradication of a perverse and destructive system. Revolutionary Parties and Popular Movements
We have established that the war between the Peoples and the multinationals is a world war. The opposing camp is scrupulously organized and acts under the command of a very competent and well-hierarchical General Staff. How can we imagine that the Peoples' camp could gain the upper hand, without also having structures that would allow for global analysis, the elaboration of strategies and the coordination of battles on the different fronts?
In previous centuries, revolutionary class and national liberation struggles were waged under the leadership of "Vanguard Political Parties", often under the aegis of Marxist-Leninist ideology. Today, even if the role of revolutionary political parties remains more decisive than ever, the nature of their relationship with popular movements has profoundly evolved. The challenge for revolutionary parties is not to "lead the masses", but to create relevant analyses and proposals, to develop practices that are convincing enough to be taken up by the greatest number of people [the translator objected to this, saying that revolutionary, leading party ivital for revolution].
Regarding the connection between popular struggles at the international level:
In the past, internationalist networks were driven for the most part by political parties grouped together in "Socialist Internationals". Today, the convergences of struggles are made through extremely numerous networks, on the basis of specific themes (ecological, feminist, pan-Africanist, etc.) that generally declare themselves "a-political". There are, however, international networks, defending political projects that are clearly anti-liberal and anti-imperialist. In our America-Caribbean region, for example, we can mention the "Assembly of the Peoples of the Caribbean (APC)", the "Sao Paolo Forum", "ALBA Movements", "Jubilee South", "ICMLPO"7.
The stakes in this decisive war between our peoples and the multinationals are crucial. For us, it is a question of eradicating a system at the end of its life which, if it continues, will lead the planet and humanity to destruction. We must give ourselves all the necessary means to intensify our Resistance, to achieve the final victory and to build the "other possible world".

1 The system is caught in a trap from which it cannot escape: its survival is linked to the massive sale of new technologies; But censorship is not enough to prevent it from deconstructing its ideology and propaganda or conveying alternative information about its past and present crimes.
2 Humanity is once again seen as an intrinsic part of the ecosystem. It is the pretension to dominate it, to exploit it, to submit it to one's fantasies that threatens the planet and humanity with the threat of destruction.
3 The enemies, on the other hand, scrupulously study popular practices and circuits, either to destroy them or to take advantage of them.
4 On the one hand, the wave of influencers scattered among the working classes who gain access to "wealth" by acting as advertising relays for the multinationals, and the massive campaigns carried out to sow the illusion that one could solve one's economic and social problems by becoming a "self-employed entrepreneur", have largely contributed to this.
5 Carry water in a basket.
6 This is not contradictory to the existence of sectoral departments legitimately linked to political parties.
7 In this regard, we invite all our readers to share with us the information they have about other networks working for the convergence of popular struggles.
