Durham Spark now in print

I am starting a printed version of this blog, which should come out four times a year. This week I left some copies of The Durham Spark for June at locations in Chapel Hill as a trial run ( it is ironic, given the name, but it was convenient and the racks are very visible). I hope to increase the Durham Spark's visibility in the Triangle and reach across the digital divide. This is something I've wanted to do for a while, but I am acting now because I have some unpublished articles and racks to fill, because Alliance! (the magazine of Alliance Marxist-Leninist) has not been published recently. I obviously support AML, but this effort is separate. Alliance! will be published again, but when is up to the editors and whether I reprint old issues.

Contact me if you want to get involved. This blog is currently personal, but I would be happy to make it and the paper a collective effort once I find some like-minded people who want to work on this.

As part of this expansion, I modified the opening to the blog. The old opening was:

This is a personal political blog looking at news and issues, mainly on a local and state level, but including national and global events, from a progressive, democratic, and revolutionary working class perspective from the Triangle area of North Carolina. I believe that revolutionary socialism is necessary to create an America truly governed by the people and I reaffirm the communist perspective through this blog and other media.

The last part of the new opening heads the printed version.
